General Information
There will be spots available for all age groups. Existing teams will be looking to fill open spots and we will be forming new teams at each age group if we are able to recruit capable coaches.

The fee for tryouts will be $30.00. Players must show up with registration form, copy of birth certificate and tryout fee of $30.

The AAU season begins in March and continues into June. There is a fee associated with playing for Nor’east Lightning if you are selected for a team. That fee varies depending on the team for which you are selected (in general fee could range from $600 to $900 depending on the schedule and other factors). AAU is for the serious player who wants to improve their skill level and one day aspires to play at the high school and college level. Practices are held once or twice each week beginning in mid-March. Games are played only on weekends at various sites throughout Westchester/Putnam and the New York Metropolitan area and on occasion out of the area (generally for the older teams).

2012 Tryout Dates

Tryout Fee: $30.00 (There will be no try-out fee for a coach’s son/daughter)

Saturday, March 3rd:
10-11:30am – Girls 3rd, 4th and 5th grade  
11:45-1:15pm – Boys 3rd, 4th and 5th grade 
1:30-3pm – Girls 6th and 7th grade

Sunday, March 4th:
1:30-3pm – Girls 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade
3:15-4:45pm – Boys 6th and 7th grade  
5-6:30pm – Boys 8th, 9th and 10th grade

Tuesday, March 6th:
6-7:30pm – Girls 3rd and 4th and 5th grade (Second Tryout)
7:30-9pm – Boys 3rd, 4th and 5th grade (Second Tryout)

Wednesday, March 7th:
6-7:30pm – Girls 6th and 7th grade (Second Tryout)
7:45-9:15pm – Girls 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade (Second Tryout)

Thursday, the March 8th: 
6-7:30 – Boys 6th and 7th grade (Second Tryout)
7:45-9:15pm – Boys 8th, 9th and 10th grade (Second Tryout)

Note to all players and parents:

• All players should try their best to make both tryouts so that the coaches get a good look at your child.
• If we should come into some bad weather, new dates will be posted on the website.
• All players must show up with registration form, copy of birth certificate and tryout fee of $30.
